Refund Policy

1. Summary
Lifetime Access to the directory is digital content delivered immediately on payment. Because you expressly request immediate access at checkout and acknowledge that you waive your statutory right of withdrawal, refunds are generally not available once your payment has been completed and access has been granted.
The exceptions in section 4 below still apply, and your mandatory rights as a consumer in your country of residence remain unaffected.
2. Your statutory right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer resident in the EU or the UK, you ordinarily have a 14-day “cooling-off” period during which you can withdraw from a distance purchase without giving a reason (Directive 2011/83/EU; UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013).
For digital content delivered immediately, this right ceases to apply once you have given prior express consent to immediate performance and acknowledged that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal — see Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU and regulation 37(1)(a) of the UK Regulations.
3. The waiver you accept at checkout
Before payment you must tick a checkbox confirming the following:
I expressly request immediate access to the directory and acknowledge that I therefore lose my 14-day right of withdrawal under EU Consumer Rights Directive Article 16(m) and UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, regulation 37(1)(a).
In addition, Stripe Checkout requires you to confirm that you accept these terms before the payment can be completed. We record both consents together with a timestamp on the payment record.
4. When a refund may still be granted
We will consider a refund on a case-by-case basis, in good faith, in the following situations:
- You were charged twice for the same purchase.
- You were unable to access the directory due to a verifiable issue on our side that we could not resolve within a reasonable period.
- The purchase was made fraudulently with your payment method without your authorisation (please contact us before initiating a chargeback).
Outside these situations and your mandatory consumer rights, refunds are not provided.
5. How to request a refund
Email us at halalinvestingeu@duck.com from the email address you used at checkout, with:
- your Stripe receipt or order ID,
- a short description of the issue.
We aim to respond within 5 working days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe and can take up to 10 working days to appear on your statement.
6. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank — most issues can be resolved faster by email. Chargebacks initiated without first contacting us, or chargebacks we consider unjustified, will result in your access being suspended or permanently revoked, and we may pursue recovery of any costs incurred.
